...Imagine a Music (1989)

In Flight was a project started in the late 1980s by Lee Kohler (keyboards) and Robi Johns (guitars) in Bozeman, Montana, with Lee's brother Rob (bass) joining soon after to fill out the trio. The band quickly gained popularity and toured with live shows throughout Montana, inspiring everyone who heard them. In 1989, they were invited to do a show at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They later produced this recording, "...Imagine a Music," with the late Claude Nobs, founder of the festival. The group disbanded soon after, but Lee and Rob reformed it in 1995 with Michael Blessing (drums) under the new title of This World. In Flight's music has always been enormously beautiful, and this recording will continue to touch and inspire listeners for years to come.
